Community Healthcare System announces the addition of practitioners to physician network

 

MUNSTER – Community Healthcare System announces the addition of four practitioners to the Community Care Network, Inc. (CCNI) team of physicians. The specialties these physicians represent include allergy & immunology, ear, nose & throat (otology and neurotology), interventional cardiology and neurosurgery. This CCNI group of physicians is affiliated with Community Healthcare System’s hospitals: Community Hospital in Munster, St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart and specialty hospital, Community Stroke & Rehabilitation Center in Crown Point.

Specializing in endovascular and interventional cardiology, Shadi Al Halabi, MD, completed his fellowship in peripheral vascular diagnostic and intervention at the Advanced Cardiac and Vascular Centers. He served his residencies at Cleveland Clinic for internal medicine, Loyola University Medical Center for cardiovascular medicine and University of Chicago/Advocate Christ Medical Center for interventional cardiology. He earned his medical degree from Damascus University Medical School. He is on staff at Community Hospital in Munster and St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago. Ear, nose & throat specialist Michael Gluth, MD, FACS, completed his fellowship in otolaryngology at the Ear Science Institute. He served his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School. Areas of specialty include otology and neurotology (medical and surgical treatment of neurological disorders related to the ear). Specializing in allergy and immunology, Amee Patel, MD, completed her allergy and immunology fellowship at McGaw Medical Center-Northwestern University. She served her residency in internal medicine at Loyola University Medical Center. She earned her medical degree from Rush University Medical College. She is on staff at Community Hospital, Munster, and St. Mary Medical Center, Hobart. She is accepting both pediatric and adult patients. Neurosurgeon Kim Williams Jr., MD, FAANS, completed his fellowship in spinal surgery and his residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
