 Registration Representative

What is your role with Community Healthcare System?
I am a Registration Representative at Community Stroke & Rehabilitation Center in Crown Point.

What was your inspiration for getting into health care?
I genuinely love to help people. No matter how big or small something may seem, it makes me happy to know that I was able to help in some way.

What is a typical day like for you?
Since I am still training, a typical day for me is helping to register patients for the tests they are coming in for and learning all the different aspects of the job that I will be assisting patients with.

How long have you been employed here?
I actually just started at CSRC in the middle of June, but I have been with Community Healthcare System as a whole for a little over a year and a half now.

What are some of the big changes you have experienced in this position?
I think my biggest change in this position has been assisting people in such a different way. I went from being a CNA at Community Hospital, and now it feels so different to help from behind the desk instead of being more hands-on.

What are some of your interests outside of work?
I love listening to true crime podcasts and playing with my dog, Wrigley!

What do you enjoy most about working at Community Healthcare System?
I absolutely love how nice, helpful and welcoming everyone is. You truly feel like you are a part of one big family!
