Valet Services
What is your role with Community Healthcare System?
I am a valet at Community Hospital.
What is a typical day like for you?
A typical day for me is greeting everyone with a welcoming and positive energy at the MOB (Medical Office Building) at Community Hospital. I help patients and guests get into and out of the hospital, and I park and retrieve their vehicles.
How long have you been employed here?
I have been employed here for about three months.
What are some of the things you have you learned in this position?
As someone who sees many new faces on a daily basis, I make it a point to remember visitors’ names for a more personalized interaction. And learning the hospital layout has helped me best direct those who need help getting around. It also helps with our traffic flow for high-volume days.
What are some of your interests outside of work?
Some of my interests outside of work are producing music; playing piano for my friends’ band; going to the gym (which is a must to keep up with the valet needs at our MOB door); spending time with my family and friends; and catching up on a few of my favorite shows.
What do you enjoy most about working at Community Healthcare System?
What I enjoy most is that I simply get to be me. I don’t feel like it’s work because it’s all second nature to be helpful. Making someone smile and providing top-tier service is what gives me the opportunity to change the course of anyone’s day … and mine.
