Helping Your Communication and Swallowing

Speech therapy plays an important role in helping individuals communicate more effectively. We have experience working with both pediatric and adult patients who have diverse communication and swallowing disorders.

Our speech pathologists assess, identify and treat individuals who have difficulties communicating and/or swallowing. We use a variety of techniques and a multidisciplinary approach to help facilitate functional communication skills and/or achieve the least restrictive diet possible to assist you and your loved one.

Oncology Rehabilitation

Speech therapy may be helpful before, during and after cancer treatments.

Powers Health’s speech pathologists are certified by the Physiological Oncology Rehabilitation Institute (PORi) for cancer care and offer treatment using prophylactic, restorative and compensatory techniques.

Our Oncology Rehabilitation speech therapists work with you to treat the effects of chemo brain, including communication difficulties, impaired memory, executive function and reduced ability to concentrate and process information.
