Pre-habilitation for Total Joint Replacements
Powers Health Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant, Debra Scanlon, will discuss the benefits of pre-habilitation for the patient seeking a total joint replacement. There will be a in-depth discussion on the knee, hip and shoulder joints anatomy, overview of the surgical procedures, followed by a break-out session to review post op protocols specific to each joint. General presurgical exercises and proper use of assistive devices will be covered during this class. Demonstration and a question/answer session will be included.
